Nevada Right to Life PAC Endorses Amodei

Reno, NV - Jeremy McNeil, Executive Director of Nevada Right to Life PAC, announced that the PAC has endorsed Mark Amodei in the September 13 special election for U.S. House of Representatives for Nevada’s second congressional district.

“Nevada Right to Life PAC’s endorsement of Mark Amodei reflects his commitment to preserving a culture of life in Nevada and throughout the nation,” McNeil said.  “Voters in Congressional District 2 have been provided a choice between two candidates on opposite sides of the abortion issue.  Mark Amodei is the only candidate who supports pro-life legislation and opposes the use of federal funding for elective abortion.”

“Mark Amodei’s opponent, Kate Marshall, has won endorsements from stridently pro-abortion organizations.  It is imperative that Nevadans elect a candidate who will work to restore legal protections for innocent life – unborn children, medically disabled or dependent persons, and the elderly, whose lives are threatened by abortion or euthanasia.  Nevada Right to Life PAC is proud to endorse Mark Amodei.”

Nevada Right to Life PAC seeks to elect candidates to public office that respect the sanctity of human life. Nevada Right to Life PAC is nonpartisan, non-religious, and its funds are separate from Nevada Right to Life.

Pro-Abortion EMILY's List Endorses Kate Marshall for Special Election

On July 26, 2011, noted abortion-advocacy group, EMILY's List, endorsed Democrat Kate Marshall in the race for the second congressional seat left vacant by Senator Dean Heller.  EMILY's List is "dedicated to electing pro-choice Democratic women to office."  Obviously, a full endorsement for Marshall over her Republican opponent, Mark Amodei, indicates their faith in Marshall's abortion-rights position.

Nevada Right to Life PAC cannot support a candidate for office who wins the endorsement of such a devoted pro-abortion organization.  Pro-life voters in Nevada should cast their ballot for a candidate who recognizes the intrinsic value of human life.  That vote, then, should not be for Kate Marshall.

Early voting in the election begins August 27, 2011, and voting concludes September 13.  Remember, this is not a primary election, but a special general election.

    About Us

Nevada Right to Life Political Action Committee ("NVRTL PAC") actively supports candidates for federal office who will work to further the goals of the pro-life movement. LIFEPAC is the state political action committee of Nevada Right to Life and seeks to elect candidates to state office that respect the sanctity of human life.  An important component of this assistance is educating candidates, the public, and the press so that myths about the abortion issue and the electoral process can be dispelled.

NVRTL PAC is convinced that it is a distinct advantage for candidates to be pro-life. In fact, in every major election since 1980, pro-life candidates have fared better than have pro-abortion candidates among those voters who base their vote on a candidate’s position on abortion.
